Tutorial ~ Padded Fabric Snap Clip

Here is a sweet tutorial on how to make a padded fabric snap clip. I've included step- by -step photos for easy understanding. Here you go;

Snap Clip (any size) ~ sponge batting (larger than the clip pattern)~ pre-cut fabric (cut larger than the clip pattern ) ~   sharp pair of Scissors ~ strong Glue. I use UHU which is perfect for fabrics

Step 1~ Apply some glue to the top part of the snap clip as shown.

Step 2~ Attach the sponge batting to the glued part

~ It should look like this

Step 3 ~ Now lay the snap clip with  sponge batting on the fabric piece and sew some running stitches all around as shown

 

Step 4~ Pull the thread and finish off with a knot. Then you've got to kind of carefully gather the leftover fabric pieces around the stitches and neatly hold them in place

Oh! I actually forgot to mention that you'll also need a piece of Felt (pre-cut using the clip pattern):)

Step 5 ~ Cut a small slit in the centre

and place it on the clip as shown

Step 6 ~ Next, stitch neatly around the clip to finish

and you're done!
