Hi everyone!..it's been quiet sometime since I blogged. Today, I'm gonna share a tutorial on making an Easy Sock Puppet and this is going to be my very first tutorial! My little girl loves puppets. So, rumaging through her old used clothes I found these pair of colorful striped socks. We did this project together and it was fun!
Step 1 :Here is what you'll need,
A good pair of scissors to cut felt, pieces of felt, googly eyes ( you can even use felt if you don't have them), glue or any other strong adhesives
Step 2: Lay your sock heel side up, and smooth it down flat. You should have a crease straight through the middle and a flattened heel flap on top. This is going to be the mouth.
Step 3: Cut a circle felt mouth piece and glue onto the flattened heel flap and add some teeth and tongue as shown.
This is how it should look..
Step 4 : Turn it over to the other side..this will be the face. Now, add some eyes and button for nose..you can even use felt balls.
Step 5: Next, cut strips on both sides of a piece of rectangular felt..this will be the hair.
You may even use colorful pieces of yarn.
The shorter strips will be the fringe..
Add glue..
and stick it just above the eye level.
You may add some embelishments to the hair like a piece of flower or buttons!
